A devotee of the Syrah grape, Jean-Luc Colombo’s “Les Terres Brulees” is a beautiful Cornas selection. French for “burnt earth,” grapes are harvested from 30 year-old vines from over 20 different plots over 11 acres. The resulting wine offers a very rich mouthfeel with flavors of black fruit, jam, vanilla, spice, and mineral notes.
